Contexte
For its new 6800 m² building, Orano Projets called on the Arp Astrance agency to design a modern space, adapted to new ways of working. The objective? Create a place that is both functional, aesthetic and faithful to Orano's industrial identity. Thanks to a close collaboration between Arp Astrance, who worked on the interior architecture, and Hexagone, among others, for the furniture, the project reflects a real coherence between form and use.
An architectural concept inspired by the elements and industry
In this new building, the challenge was to accommodate more than 560 employees while responding to changes in working methods. The architectural concept is based on 3 themes: industrial, nature and sea. This common thread is reflected in aesthetic choices, materials, and dynamic spaces designed to promote collaboration and flexibility.
Each floor was designed as a visual variation of this concept, with a dominant color reflecting the key themes: blue, yellow and green to respect Orano's graphic charter. These colors bring a real identity to the space while positively influencing the atmosphere and well-being of the teams. As mentioned in our article on the importance of colors in workspaces, color choice is not limited to aesthetics: it plays an essential role in creating a motivating and balanced environment, while stimulating productivity.
Furniture: design, customization and flexibility
The furniture, designed in collaboration with ARP Astrance, was designed to integrate perfectly into the overall concept while meeting the concrete needs of the teams. Between ergonomic desks, meeting tables and spaces dedicated to exchange, each room has been designed to combine functionality and design.
The rest of the furniture comes from recognized partners such as Pedrali, Hay, Hay, Ondarreta and Normann Copenhagen, guaranteeing a perfect blend of design and sustainability. A full flex approach has been adopted to allow an agile organization, adapted to the evolution of uses over time.
This project for Orano Projets shows how a well-thought-out layout can transform a workspace. By combining a strong architectural concept, tailor-made furniture and innovative technical solutions, this layout meets operational requirements while creating an inspiring and modern place. A great success that illustrates how design and functionality can go hand in hand to offer an ideal working environment.
A tailor-made tray design that makes a difference
One of the strengths and differentiating points that contributed to winning this project lies in the tailor-made solution proposed for offices. In order to meet the requirements of electrification and functionality, a customized platform was designed. The office floors are therefore equipped with a rounded shape to perfectly integrate a pole for electrification, thus offering a solution that is both aesthetic and practical. This ingenious detail reflects the attention paid to the specific needs of employees and the desire to innovate in layouts.
