Contexte

Eiffage Construction has chosen to bring together several of its entities in Ile de France in a single building located in Saint-Ouen. Designed and developed by the agencies Saguez & Partners and B&B Architect, this ambitious project embodies a strong desire for innovation, environmental performance and the reduction of the carbon footprint. It is part of a dynamic of transformation of working methods, promoting the cohesion and well-being of teams. Hexagone was able to support Eiffage Construction by providing new and upcycled furniture for the new regional headquarters in Île-de-France, bringing together in Saint-Ouen the Île-de-France teams from Eiffage Construction, Eiffage Aménagement and Eiffage Immobilier.

A project with major strategic and environmental challenges

A project with major strategic and environmental challenges

With an area of 13,500 m² and 661 workstations, the Distillery is a pioneer building in terms of energy and ecological performance. It aims to obtain the most demanding labels and certifications: BBCA Excellent, RE2020, taxonomy, BREEAM Excellent, NF HQE Excellent, and Wired Score Gold. This project reflects Eiffage Construction's commitment to CSR, while offering a high quality working environment to its employees.

An integrated circular economy approach

An integrated circular economy approach

The project incorporated an exemplary reuse approach: 90% of the initial weight of the building was reused and/or recycled thanks to selective deconstruction carried out in part with the Réavia association.

It was therefore quite obvious that on the furniture side, Eiffage Construction also uses reuse and upcycling solutions.

Designed as a place to live as well as to work, La Distillerie offers modern offices that promote individual and collaborative work, with spaces such as a library and an amphitheater. Employees also benefit from numerous services: concierge, gym, health area, health area, health area, cafeteria, inter-company restaurant and a nearly 800 m² rooftop offering a breathtaking view of the neighborhood.

Sustainable and innovative furniture

Sustainable and innovative furniture

Hexagone had the privilege of providing 90% of the furniture for this project, including 30 to 40% by upcycling, highlighting our various “best sellers” in order to meet all the needs of employees. This approach is fully in line with the environmental objective of the project, by promoting reuse and eco-design.

Among the solutions provided, we find:

  • Upcycled workstations and tables

The structures of the former offices and tables of the subsidiaries of Eiffage Construction in Île-de-France were carefully recovered and cleaned before being enhanced by the addition of new floors, including new electrification. The old floors have been transformed into acoustic partitions.

  • The Acanthe wardrobe

The old base cabinets have been redesigned. By integrating them into a new case, they gain in functionality with the addition of a wardrobe or additional storage boxes.

  • Upcycled lockers:

Old tall cabinets have been repurposed into individual storage spaces. To do this, the facade doors were removed and the interior was redesigned in order to integrate several boxes that could accommodate the personal effects of employees. A solution that is as practical as it is ingenious!

Upcycled furniture that blends perfectly with new furniture in the eyes of employees:

“This feedback is amusing and shows that we have successfully completed the experience of upcycling and reusing: employees get caught up in the game and cannot tell the difference between what is new and upcycled.” - Grégoire Fèvre, Operational Director at Eiffage Immobilier Île-de-France.

A dedicated team for a large-scale project

The success of this achievement is based on the work and commitment of a dedicated team that was able to meet the technical and logistical challenges of this demanding project. Their involvement, their responsiveness and their sense of detail were decisive in meeting the tight deadlines and guaranteeing a high level of quality.

“We have a great story at the same time, an upcycling that makes sense, that is at the service of employees and, in addition, made in France. Do I think we check a lot of boxes? ”, Grégoire Fèvre, Operational Director, Eiffage Immobilier.

Controlled multi-site logistics

This project was also distinguished by the logistical complexity associated with the move of several entities to a single site. Thanks to our hexagreen method, we have set up a fluid and optimized multi-site supply chain.

“When you want to reuse, it requires a lot of brain power since it requires fine management of logistics and a sufficiently solid structure to be able to put the resources into it and therefore it requires well-prepared projects and to be well supported” - Grégoire Fèvre, Operational Director Eiffage Immobilier.

With “La Distillerie”, Eiffage Construction affirms its commitment to responsible and sustainable real estate, while offering its employees an innovative and efficient working environment. An exemplary project that embodies the offices of tomorrow.

At Hexagone, we are proud to have contributed to this meaningful project, through a concrete eco-responsible furniture approach. A major project that allowed us to compete at Worknight 2025 in the Workplace Impact Award category - Carbon impact/responsible exploitation.

Thanks to the teams at Saguez & Partners and B&B Architecte for their vision, to Eiffage for their trust, and to all the partners mobilized to make “La Distillerie” an inspiring model of transition and innovation.
